I wish it were that easy for me.... the only time I cant take off is Drill Weekends.

Hope ya can swing it Sarge,  we were right against the wall with Kelsey, we usually do this event in June, but we had the Headwaters Gig then, so this was it before, HOPEFULLY, big weather changes…

I'm in the process of inviting vets and their families to this event.  If anyone knows of Vets or First Responders that you think would like or benefit from this outing, please let them know and have them get in contact with me, or just post here of who might be coming..

Any updates on the number of attendees?

Well,

Were not going to have the VA bring a bus load people out, That's a hell of a day for those ridding all day from Palo Alto.

Raydon and I have been contacting vets personally who have attended events from the past. I will say, it's probably not going to be like before were we had 50 or so vets, but more like a couple dozen, with that including families, father son type of thing, camping   .

Good Stuff   

  Being were a little shy on kayaks, going for quality and not quantity is preferable anyway.

Also,  we may need a pick up and drop off for a young vet out of San Jose. Anyone interested in this please PM me.

 The Wounded Warrior Project just posted the event in their weekly flier and another warrior org is also publicizing it….

I will figure out how to get all 13 of the boats here down there. Most likely in my car trailer.

We will also be having a fair amount of First Responders too, most of which where military before that move...

....Still not sure if I'm going to make it.  Still talking with family and dealing with school stuff.

However, a couple (1-3) guys should be calling Don to "RSVP" themselves. I told them they can name drop me.  (It's who we talked about earlier). 

One guy might be calling you that actually works for the VA. I told him this event is "simple" but to at least make contact for future events.

If they drop my name ("Roberts"), they are good guys.

2 kayaks (Hobie AI, Native Slayer Propel) + gear, 1 SUP, Table as needed, Fishing gear, enough for at least one extra vet.
Food - can pick up food on Saturday from Golden China Restaurant in Turlock, CA
No extra volunteers at this point, possibly Olivia but unsure.

I will be bringing my fifth wheel and will also have a refrigerator and freezer if needed to store additional items.  I will have propane and access to hot water and my stove if anyone needs it.  I will also bring a water purifier and some portable 7 gallon jugs that others can get clean water from for cleaning or drinking.

2 burner Costco gridle/stove
5 sleeping bags
1 2 person tent
1 folding table
