Saw their sign and building under construction.  Between Target and Century Theaters off Auto Mall Parkway.  About time I can get tackle locally.

Stop by Blaze Pizza next door, build your own personal size pizza for $7.95.  Whatever toppings you want.  Good food and great price!! :smt003

I like Dick's, but they are very expensive. The one near me in Dublin is really... interestingly stocked haha. The weights were spread in 4 different aisles. Nice to have local options though.
Thresher in avatar and Soupfin Shark in signature both caught and pic taken by me.

I've never been to Dick's. Is it kinda like Walmart?

Well, it's kind of like if walmart had a much better sporting section. They have a lot of different stuff but they have cheap stuff and expensive stuff and a pretty good section for fishing.

The newly opened Dick's in Concord has a surprisingly good fishing selection. They even carry Trevalas and fishing kayaks!

Dicks is like a sports authority with a significantly better fishing section. I think their pricing is comparable to other outdoor retailers. Better than BPS for sure. GREAT place to get terminal tackle like weights and hooks, and they carry a decent selection of local stuff.

I hope they have a decent selection.  Or at least big white scampis.  We have practically nothing around Fremont!

Waiting for Bass Pro shops to open in San Jose.  Dick's is big in Oregon,  (Portland area) and yes there expensive.

Their kayak  and kayak fishing depts are like most others.  Very limited and the sales clerks haven't a clue.  It seems they have someone back east buy the stuff and stock the stores.  On Monday I asked a clerk if he had a Deep Six or a Double Deep Six.  After explaining the function, he was still scratching his head.  However on the positive side , the generic lures and tackle they have plenty of and they have bait of all kinds, and even tray bait.

Zero fishing knowledge in the Dick's I have been to won't go back.
