It's time I got a new rod and reel, welcome recommendations from the SCSS and others.... I've seen them a million times but forgot the model, trevala?

I have a Shimano Teramar and a Lamiglass Tri-Flex.

The Lami is by far my favorite rod for just about everything...and I like the Teramar way better than my Trevala.

Whatever you can comfortably use and swing around the bow of your boat, if needed.

I like 7' rods myself.

Just ordered a Cardiff 400, I was looking at the trevalas but holy sheep shit there are a lot of options... I'll be putting 50 lb spectra and doing what we do, suggestions?  I'll follow NCKA like a drunk blind sheep...

For rockfish, a 3' pink Barbie pole works good. Don't overthink or overspend unless you are also going to target a more challenging opponent. It will match that Barbie lure you made with the treble hook crotch.  :smt005

9' 7 or 8 weight with about 27' - 30' of T14 shooting head on an intermediate running line.  I use 20 pound minimum for a leader.  :smt003
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

You will be using this setup a lot. And knowing you, Ben...you'll take care of it and it will last for a long time. So get yourself something nice. If you're set on a Trevala, checkout the TVC66M (or MH) and the TVC70M (or MH if you can find one). I've got both of those rods. But I really like Seeker rods--new Stealth series is a good deal.
