Although the truck driver was overreacting the left lane is the PASSING lane. Move the f over and let him pass so these kinds of things don't happen. Being passive aggressive in the left lane is my pet peeve!

I usually drive 5mph or so over the speed limit(breaking the law, I know), and will pull over for impatient drivers. I just don't understand the need to drive at ridiculous speeds putting others at risk.

Why are morons allowed to even drive or own cars? Why do some feel that "freedom" allows them to be assholes on the road?

With all of our safety talk on this site, I would hope that the sentiment would carry over to our driving habits. I do understand the need for speed having raced motorcycles as a kid, but dicing on the public road with drivers of varying abilities is stupid.

Get some balls and just start racing with competent drivers on closed circuit tracks, instead feeling like you are badass when you pass someone driving sanely.

There isn't any law I'm aware of in California that says you have to change out of the number 1 lane of a multiple lane highway to allow a vehicle to pass. Passing on the right is legal and normal in California. Just go around on the right.

It would be nice if people moved over, but they don't and they aren't required to as far as I can tell.

The left lane may be a passing lane, but I don't believe this allows the driver to exceed the posted speed limit.  This is, however, slightly different on a one lane road, which in the video, it was not.

That's funny. The guy in the car looked like he sped up to aggravate the other guy or did the truck driver slow down just to give him the bird? Either way, it could've been avoided. I agree with baron. There's a lot of people who drives in the fast lane like its a leisurely Sunday drive. It can get pretty annoying.

I have seen a cop pull over a car who was driving in the left lane with cars behind them. Irrelevent of law its a dick move to block people from passing. You don't know if someone is in an emergency or not. This instance the truck driver was being a complete ahole and that was definitely road rage and he was in the wrong.

Kind of wrong, if your speed is holding up 5 cars, you are required to pull over to allow others to pass.  But I believe that is only on a highway.  It appears they were not on a highway but on the street.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Wow...  Yeah that was funny, but I also wonder how it got to that point.  I'm with some of the others, stop trying to "teach" others while on the road.  Everyone knows people die every day in car accidents, but yet people still do crazy stuff to cut off and get ahead of other drivers for what, like a couple minutes?  Drive as if you care about other people... or as if YOUR family is in every car around you.

I got pulled over for passing an elderly couple in a caddy doing 50MPH on the 101 in the left lane. I passed them on the right since they wouldn't move over and I had 2hrs of driving to get through. CHP pulled me over for it, said "no passing on the right regardless of slow traffic". I was super polite and he let me off with a warning.

now, I saw a speeding vehicle that matched mine not 5 minutes before he pulled me over, so to this day I think he actually popped the wrong driver, but when I mentioned it the officer got a bit angry so I let it go. But I'll always remember the incident 'cause I thought passing on the right, while not always cool, was legal in certain instances as long as the driving was not reckless.

I believe he was making reference to a two-lane road where the other drived could/can pass in the right lane.  Pulling over due to holding up traffic, to my knowlege, only applies to a 1-lane road.

May not be a law, but I generally go with the saying Drive Right, Pass Left.  I will only 'ride' the left/#1 lane if I'm going the same or faster than other traffic.  If not, well, I pull over to leave that lane open for passing...  I've tried to explain this to Sara, but she doesn't buy it lol!!!
