FAOTY 2014 fish entries and leader board

Dude, talked to some peeps when I was in Oregon, 50 steelies in the rogue hatchery already! Summer run looks early, probably on the NU too, thinking about a July run to swing some flies on they spey rod.

That's a great sign.
I'm booked and can't get away till late August beginning September but NU is always on my radar.
I was just at Kiene's on Saturday. Nice new shop but shitty location/neighborhood! Crazy shit was going down in the parking lot.

I was driving down the street one day in front of the new location when I got to watch my first tazering by an officer on some crazy half naked skinny little dude running down the middle of my road.  It all happened within 20' of the front of my car.  What a crazy sight, the cop hit him with the tazer 3 times before he finally went down.  Needless to say i was cheering on the cop.

Went to the Cosumnes this morning and caught a 14.25 inch largemouth.

Went out to steamboat slough today and lucked out with a 15.75 inch smallmouth.

Got lucky at Clear Lake this weekend fish the event.  Got 6th place, not bad for fly.  I'll win one of these days, I know I can beat the bait guys!!  Got a 26" catfish, a personal best and total surprise catch on the fly.  Also got to improve on my lmb, 21.5".  All fish caught on my black wiggle tail using my 5 weight with an intermediate line.  Saw fry busting so I knew the bass would eat something small, and I got lucky twice with a 19.5 and the 21.5 posted.

The main issue was not having a big enough net, took about 9 tries to land it.  Wasn't really an issue with a 5 weight.  So far I have landed a 17+ pound carp on my 5 weight.

I bet it's the only catfish caught for faith this year. Good job Scott.
