I'm hitting the salt either the 14th or 15th for sure.  Gotta get out there and try my luck.  Can you recommend where I should go.

Looks like that guy made it to the frying pan! Too bad you started getting sick, I found a giant school of  14"-16" blacks in about 35-40ft. on the way back in. Caught 4 in a row on the purple haze clouser and moved on.

Fished out of the kayak a couple days up north picked up the 18 1/4" trout at a little spot I know on Irongate Res. This guy was a bleeder so I kept him for the smoker. I landed a larger one but I didn't want to molest him with the water getting warmer and took my time reviving him. 2nd pic is of another large fish my cousin caught, closer to 20", they grow fast for obvious reasons, most I have found is 6 perch in one trout.

17 3/4" Shad was from yesterday on the sac, couldn't find one of the big 20"+ females that are not that uncommon. Bite didn't even start until 8:00, landed 7 in last hour of light, crappy shad year for me, that's probably my last outing for them.

No more tying on cheap F-ing All__ hooks when fishing for the big boys. We go to a place there is the possibility of hooking into a 10lb. trout in heavy fast water, first cast I set up the perfect dead drift and whammo, something slams fly, then it's gone, WTF?
