yup, I'm 6 miles south of the border covered by a huge ash cloud.

Got an upgrade for the board. 29" Striper caught on my blue and white size 2 closer using a 7 weight rod with LC13 shooting head.

Next year I catch a fish on the fly, and your teaching me scott. Lets start with catfish

I've been tying winter steelie flies so I'll throw one of those and a traditional hairwing using polar bear.

Thanks everyone, I got real lucky with that catfish.  This year I plan to use my kayak more often so it is going to be tougher.

Anyone ever wants to fish with me, just drop me a line, I am on the water pretty much every weekend.  I get more pleasure out of helping others catch fish then catching them myself.
