No worries Vic. There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved with HOW. You can borrow my yaks anytime you want to get out. I will let you know next time i go out and we can hook-up and go fish together.

Danglin and Kayakjack...my request for Feb 28Th off has been denied ..yeah ..even after I explained the purpose and that i`m a veteran and want to help other vets...guess that's what to expect when you work at a casino   anyway  i`ve even tried to swap a shift but no takers.... sorry for not being able to help out i`m disappointed   Good Luck, have fun ,be safe   Think I`ll re evaluate my employment opportunity there...

Bummer. There will be plenty of volunteers to put these vets on fish.  I hope your work is more flexible when it comes to future HOW events.

  Damn….  are there better days like weekends that are better for you,  we can't change this one,  but for future thought.  We do have some events on the weekend and like Jack said,

I talked a buddy into going to this event with me and helping out, we both have Hobie pedal yaks, is there enough water in Natoma for Hobies?   
What lures and other terminal tackle do I need for that water, someone want to PM me and spill the beans? 
Or we could help on shore if needed..........

Leave the trout gear at home and bring bass rods and reels. I use my 7' M or MH there for those toads. If you bring ultra light trout gear you WILL lose fish if you hook up. You may catch a small fish, but my average fish in there is around 5lbs. The water may be moving up to 5mph too up the river if you go up there. Bring what you want, but I recommend on the heavier side. Adam may have differen ideas, but this is what I do. My last fish was about 5 and on 8lb line I was getting worried as the fight went on. They like to fly and fight.
