I would estimate a dozen +/-…. all so far have no mobility issues, 

  It's amazing talking to these guys,  Half of them that we contacted at ISE have already been redeployed …

 The good news is they are being redeployed state side and I am able to get them to other chapters, but Jesus, these guys get around...



  The long range forecast is looking a little better for no rain on our date, so that should help ….

 ATD and RacinRacidRob, What time to we want to be on the water and actually fishing?

I just talked to Lester who has been with us previoulsy.  He thinks it's a go.  

Gates open at 7:00. I will be there then to get things ready. They can show anytime after that, but I would like to be fishing by 8-9. Since they are mostly local I think we can tell them 8. ATD, your thoughts?

Rob, you bringing your motorhome?  I plan to bring my camper and have the amenities; fridge/freezer, microwave, generator, stove, etc. 

What about meals?  Sounds like we'll have enough guys to take the guys on the water, I can help out in the kitchen with KayakJack if he'll have me. 

Anything else?  Folding tables, lawn chairs, pop-ups, firewood?  If it's cool, a campfire would be nice if there are fire rings. 

I'll tell my guys to be there by 8am. Shouldn't be a problem.

if they get there at 8am,  breakfast, getting them in gear,  close to 9 on the water,

being gates open at 7,  I do not think we can do any better than having them arrive at 8,  as Jack has the most pressure getting the kitchen going and burritos rolling,  Skipro,  I don't how close you can get to our cooking area but I would like to have at least one 42 cup coffee pot going…

does any one have exact directions I can pass off to the vets?  I see there are some directions on page 2,,, I guess that will work,  I have never been there...

what is the cost of getting in there,  parking, entrance fees?  I did not think of that as Carl is taking care permits and stuff so may be too late to get that waived unless Carl can do something...

Since these guys are Vets they can get a lifetime pass for $0.  Since they might not have one yet, you might try contacting the State parks service to see if they can help out.

My bad, Distinguished veteran's pass is for Vets with a 50% or more service-connected disability, or were held as prisoners of war by forces hostile to the United States, or recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor are eligible to receive the Distinguished Veteran Pass (formerly Disabled War Veteran/Prisoner of War Pass).

So not all vets we serve would qualify but some would.

$10 entry. I am not bringing the MH Jerry. One of your small gens would be nice to run the coffee. Above ground fire BBQ as seen in the pics. I don't know about having a real fire in one. I guess it would be ok.

Carl just helped me get in contact with the right person and looks like I just need to write a letter for request…  we probably won't know for sure on entry waiver fees waived till next week, but it looks good,,,  you will definitely need to have this on the dash of your car….

I'll have some at the show too if you can't print or forget it…   Black and white is fine….

Jerry you are always welcome in my kitchen. i would also like to take charge of doing lunch if you guys are ok with it. I will keep it simple I promise,but i just want to step it up a little. I am guessing that with all the volunteers and associated staffs we will probably be feeding 30-35 people?
