So incredibly bummed I couldn't make it this year. This last year has been tough for me away from all my NCKA brothers and sisters I have made in the last couple of years. I'm in the last couple of months of school right now and my schedule wouldn't allow for GS8 or the upcoming Albion tirp. Glad everyone made it up and back safe and sound. I look forward to seeing everyone soon.

A thank you to everyone who posts up pics of the event, those of us who couldn't make it appreciate them more than you can imagine!!

It is impossible to describe the friendships, and connections you make through this site. Most people don't understand when you try to explain what NCKA is and what it is all about. All I know is these are some of the best people you can ever meet, and some of the best memories you can make!!

Bummed you couldn't make it bro!!

Zilla and Bubba asked about you.

I just wanted to say how much fun I had at the GS8 tournament.  Eric, his daughter, and all of the rest of the NCKA people that helped stage the event did a fantastic job.  I have never been to Shelter Cove before and thought it was beautiful, plus I don't know how Eric provided us with the most beautiful weather.  Shelter Cove is one fishy place.  It was really cool to meet and talk with a bunch of hot fishermen (& women) like Eric, Etienne, Tim, Scott, Esau & Amber, Andy, and a whole bunch of other guys.  Special thanks to Piscean, my bro-in-law, for sponsoring me and getting me involved.  NCKA is awesome.

That was a blast. Eric, you out did yourself again.  :smt001
I thought the new potluck/award ceremony venue was awesome also. Big thanks to Jack.
kayakjack's taco stand was a full notch higher this time also (didn't realize it could be).
We were blessed with great weather, great food, and great friends!
I'll post some of Sarah's pics soon.

After seeing the taco holder contraption and Marv's pizza oven, I started to check CL for used Weber and planning to make similar taco rack.  Thanks for the inspiration guys. :smt003

WOW another epic GS. Thanks Eric and family. I chased chrome for 3 days but the devil fish eluded me. I had my chances, but that is the nature of salmon fishing. You just have to keep getting out there. It was great to see others get chrome including a limit by my good friends Etienne and Lawrence. I had to settle for a 34" 15 pound ling which ended up as fish tacos for 9 old and new friends Friday night. Must have been all of the trolling because they were really hungry.  :smt005 Good fishing with Isao and Amber for the first time. We will find chrome before this year is over. Life is good. Can't wait for GS9.

Cannot remember a better vacation.
We were there from Sunday through Sunday.
Still putting stuff away.
Highlights:
Hanging with the NCKA Family
First ocean kayak salmon
Held an 11.6 lb OYSTER
First (and hopefully last) sea salp
Got to spend a good part of the day hanging out with Jack our campground host in Eureka on Monday. That dude is a STUD!
Not even once walking UP the boat launch in a week of being there.
And again, hanging out with the NCKA Family

Thank you Eric for the great event I had an absolute blast. This is my first event to attend and it was just awesome. It was so great to finally put faces to names. Lots of late nights and earlier mornings. Introduced myself and BS'ed with just about anyone I ran into. I could basically walk into any camp and was welcomed in, simply awesome family atmosphere.

Special thanks to Joe and MIke for welcoming into camp and introducing to so many people.

Thank you Eric and everyone for making it the weekend so great!

Eric, his family, and the rest of the GS8 helping staff once again blew us away with another World Classs Event! 2 and a half days just wasn't enough time for me and Christina. I'll be staying at least 4 days next year. We in short had a Very Sweet mini Vacation at the Cove. And Christina Had a pure blast being it her first time there. Hell, she even out fished me! :smt005 Jack and the rest of the Taco shack staff, Marv's pizzeria, and Jack's new outside patio made this year, THE BEST EVER!!= SOOO MUCH FUN! I, believe it or not blew my wad on Friday, cause the wx was soo nice, and fumbled on Tourny day and got SICK! :smt009 :smt005 Major Congrats, Once Again, to Racin Rob for the big W! Yes, you deserved it. That was fun. Until next year...
