Congratulations to Eric for pulling off another epic event.  Thank you so much for doing that.

Also, congrats to Racin rob.  You earned it.  I'm always amazed at the skull level of the NCKA group.  Everyone who won a category or placed high in the rankings has my respect as a fisherman.

I can't wait until next year.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

+1  :smt003

Big thanks to Eric for putting on yet another AWESOME Gimme Shelter event!  The scenery, fishing, and the camaraderie that comes with this event is really top-notch.  Props to RacinRob--you earned it man!  And PineMtnPete with those monstrous salmon on tourney day--amazing!  I'll post some pics from my end after I finish unpacking from the 6 hour drive.  Thanks again to Eric and everyone from NCKA who makes this such an epic event!

I had fun! See you all soon. I have to give props put to Victor for helping me out by bringing my kayak home for me. I was stressed out all weekend about leaving with my truck not running good and glad he was able to pitch in. It was a stressful first hour driving slow up and out of Shelter Cove but was so glad that the rest of the way was downhill it seemed.  I also want to give props out to See Pete the mobile mechanic in Shelter Cove , he was so helpful to me during this situation and went far and beyond what I would have expected from someone in this area. I could not believe how when I said I was with the NCKA group , he was so happy to have us down there and what we meant for their community. It was very heart warming and I can't say enough about him . Glad I made it safely home but sad I couldn't stay longer and in a better mood.

Man.. I got to come out Wed and get lost in the fog and meet a bunch of people, a first for me.  Another first was soloing my TI, and fishing alone (I have been a sailor but fishing is new to me), another first... limiting on rockfish!  What a great group of people I met and so helpful... I've never felt safer "alone" in the ocean.  To the two guys with AIs that I met pre-sunrise, it was a real pleasure to sail with you.  I was working all weekend and watching the wind reports, praying to the fishing god for you guys and wishing I was there.  The pictures make me all the more jealous.  Thanks so much and I will see ya'll next year.

the haiku tops it off beautifully... If I didn't have a belly full of rockfish I would be green with jealousy.  You guys are awesome.
