39 years ago on Oct. 31st  1974at approximately 5:00 PM I had a UFO encounter in San Francisco. It was on the corner of 21st and Harrison. I was 12 years old at the time and I was with my 7 year old brother who also remembers the incident.

We spotted the craft from half way down the block as it hovered about 25 ft above the corner house in the picture. We ran over and stood  kitty corner to get a better look at the object.  At least 40 other people were standing awe struck staring up at the disk.  It measured approximately 80ft long  25ft deep. It was hovering and had square lights revolving around its circumference that made it appear to be rotating.

The UFO remained in this same hovering position for about 5 mins. Then it abruptly sped off  in a flash and within a split second was about 1/2 mile down Harrison St. But at a greater height. It hovered at that location for about 30 seconds before speeding off again in a flash. It stopped to hover to the East about another 1/2 mile away from its previous position at an even greater height. It remained at that location for about a minute. It then disappeared in a flash.

At no time did I fear for my life. Maybe because there were so many other people alongside us. I remember the incident just a clear as if it happened yesterday. The following day I was listening to the radio and remember someone reporting that there were hundreds of people calling in stating they saw a similar object across the city sky.

Later that week I heard over the radio that they were dismissing the reports as Good Year blimp sightings. What a crock of bull that was. I know what I saw and it wasn't a blimp. I've never in my life since that day seen anything even remotely similar to what I saw that night.

Around 15 years after the incident I was talking to a childhood friend that I had  recently reacquainted myself with. We got on the topic about UFOs and I had asked him if he believed in them or not. He began to recount this very detailed story about an encounter he had in front of his home as a kid. Turns out he was telling me his version of my encounter from his doorsteps a half block away from where I was standing.

The attached pictures are of my perspective kitty corner from the hovering object and a UFO that closely resembles the one I encountered. As clearly as you can see this pic is as clear as I saw the UFO. I just happened to be in the city yesterday and stopped to take this pic for the post.

there were a ton of reports in the weeks around my seeing the trianlge over the lake...folks were reporting seeing lights/beams pointing down from a dark sky with no object seen as a source,the beam would shine in cow fields along foothill road outside san luis obispo and along los osos valley road....the newspaper said it was a blimp...I remember my mother checking into these reports on the phone while I sat there lsitening..she remembers very little of that time in our lives and none of this

I still have the second set of two more sightings from salinas at night only a few years back....later

I was going fishing one morning it was around 4 am,traveling through the Sutter Buttes me and my buddy were just chatting away and all of a sudden we see this brilliant red streak starting over at the mountains to the west , it came directly towards us at what seemed like lightning speed,we were kinda freaked out because you could see this all the way across the night sky,nothing we could do but speculate, so we went on fishing till about noon,when we got back in the truck to come home  turned on the radio and found out it was a Space Shuttle returning  to earth.I haven't saw any other UFOs or BigFoot or the Tooth  Fairy  or Santa Clause(well i did see a few in the mall)but who knows all of them may exist as far as i know.But i do keep my eye out for them.

So I was pretty stunned to see another u.f.o in my lifetime and one so close to boot,never expected to see something hundredss of feet away ,if at all ever again.
I had to stay out at my night shift post after seeing the cigar and was a little bit shaken and jumpy and trying to watch the sky as well as my area around me for what I dont know.The cigar shaped/tube with flat ends-I saw for only a second or two .I had seen it at about 11 o'clock as I turned over my right shoulder  and it went almost right over head and was blocked about 100  feet later as it went north east over a six story build next to me.
After a time I had relaxed and even spoke with another person that came outside for a smoke.I was still pretty jumpy and was on alert for sure.I saw a light,very small and white like a l.e.d flashlight you see at hardware stores counters..the light was bright white but small and was about 3-5 miles away above Mc'shanes nursery area of fields /hgwy 68.In the early morning hours copters are in that area as they spray,and are about that high too...so I just watched,but you can hear the crop-duster copters very well...even as they warm up before lift off and the whole time they are up,also had never seen them at night...While I was working this out in  my head the light which was stationary started to waiver or hover and I thought maybe it was because I had been looking at it too long and it was not moving/my eyes were making it move and so on,as I thought this it began a slow path from about Mc'shanes/spreckles area of fields  towards moss landing direction and kept a steady pace with no sound and seemed to be raising and lowering as it went ..it moved like a slow version of a heart monitor screen...it was pretty bright and maybe the size of a small airplane running light...which I had seen many times on my night job as well as space shuttle and space station and jets and military bombers...all at night while watching and spending  many many hours standing there...This light slowly made it way all the way out of my line of sight in a few moments and was gone traveling on that same route about a half mile off the ground and no noise
Even though it moved slow it still was faster than a small plane and slower than fighter....about 20 minutes later while looking over that direction,another exact same bright white light turned on from nowhere ,this time over river road by the park and hiking area...it too hovered and then followed off in the same direction and was soon out of sight...
Bring my total to three weird sightings in one night...the lights made no noise and did not move like a plane or copter....the second light blinked on in front of my eyes where there had been only stars right before

a flying saucer came down low over the water -spinning and wobbling with tri colored lights rotating around the saucers edge

This happened in NH, there were 4 of us camping, it was about 1 hr past dusk and we just started a campfire. We were all around 15 or 16. Location was a large hilly wooded area owned by a large sand and gravel company (Manchester Sand and Gravel), the ponds had huge bass. Anyway we saw it come from over one of the hills. It was kinda like "hey, you guys see that?" There were multi colored lights spinning around it. It was slowly moving around and eventually stopped over a creek and dropped down into the woods. No one said a thing. It lit up the ground and surrounding area with a bright white light. I remember someone said "wtf, that's no helicopter". The object was about 500 or more yards away. We only realized that after if dropped into the woods cause you could see the tree bases in front of the light. It came up out of the woods after a minute maybe and then began to move away. It then went straight up quickly and then zooom, gone into the distance. It was so fast.

Only recently did two of the four of us talk about what we saw. It still seems like it was a dream. Do I believe in aliens, no, not really but whatever that was, it was completely unexplainable and nothing I've seen since.

I believe in ufo's and ghosts though i have never seen either.

alright...he had to say it did he not..GHOSTS...I wil not be the one to start that thread...but if someone does....i can contribute....oh and btw I only have one ghost story...but it is a doozy fo sho

Cool I own stock in that company 

Ive always told people we will see other planets in our lifetime, the first one was a few years ago, it wasnt even a picture, it was a view of a distant sun that had a planet revolve in front of it and the only way they knew it was there was to mesure the light difference while it passed. Now we are even seeing livable planets, soon we will have pictures of planets with cities and roads and telescopes looking at us and hopefully not searching for water... and I believe we will travel to other planets when we die, no god for me please.
