We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

HMB!

Just a reminder to double check your crab gauges. The blue danielson ones are off and could be 5.70 or something like that depending on the batch. I compared a couple of blue ones with the yellow gauge and had to dremel the blues.
VERY IMPORTANT!

moodymike, that forecast is for the larger area.  The one GB2 is pointing to is the local version of that specific to the immediate HMB area.  I find that local one to be more applicable to the inside crabbing grounds.

BTW, even the larger area forecast just came down for Saturday morning.

Sat: NW winds 5 to 15 kt...increasing to 15 to 25 kt. Wind waves 3 to 5 ft. W swell 4 to 6 ft...increasing to 6 to 8 ft.

Here is today's NOAA Point Forecast for HMB Inshore

Saturday: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Sunny. Mixed swell...WNW 3 to 4 ft and SSW 1 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Saturday Night: WNW wind around 13 kt. Partly cloudy. Mixed swell...W 9 ft and SW 1 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Sunday: NNW wind 10 to 13 kt. Partly sunny. Mixed swell...WNW 6 to 8 ft and SSW 1 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Sunday Night: NW wind 10 to 15 kt. Partly cloudy. Mixed swell...WNW 7 ft and SW 1 ft. Wind waves 1 to 2 ft.

Monday: N wind 9 to 12 kt. Mostly sunny. Mixed swell...WNW 5 to 6 ft and SW 1 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Saturday looks great, Sunday is doable but kind of snotty, Monday slightly better. I just finished cutting and marinading bait. Rolling SCAL style, 5 ambush hoops rigged for night ops. It's going to be fun.

So for the 40+ crabbers going to HMB isn't organizing?  I'm not hardcore enough to go at midnight.  I'll roll out there when I wake and probably putz around through out the day.

Couldn't find anything in the regs about gifting crab. Can I get my 10 and "gift" them to my wife and go out and get 10 more? Thanks for the help.
