Scott, the Central Coast would be great for a future tourney. And I do plan on doing a couple of these a year, so I'll keep that in mind.

Yes to crab pots. Can't see why not.

I was joking about sur. It's all fished out by the comies.  :smt013 Actually that remote point just south of humboldt that cawingshooter went to would be cool. It would be fun to do a remote 4 wheel drive access launch in Humboldt or Mendocino with gnarly surf and you have to make it out and in clean to weigh fish. Maybe throw in a portage and cliff drop. :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 Kind of like a triatholon NCKA style.

Haha thanks Jimbo. Even back then, I had caught & released more fish than that little wierdo will ever see in his entire life....I've been fising since I was like 5. But I didn't get a chance to address his comments because the thread got locked while I was camping in Big sur.

Toast is my favorite!!!! This event should be very challenging, I'm in! I'll try to launch exactly where and when everyone else does...  :smt005

Hey Bass, that spot is Sinkyone Wilderness, Usal beach. It is super remote but absolutely awesome fishing and the camping is nice. This weekend my buddy Tim is headed up, should be an ankle slappers launch for sure. On normal days it's a short break and can take some serious toll on the inexperienced surf launch/land. http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=429

I'd be down for a tourney there for sure  :smt003    I'll try to put together a hookup for next year when the kid's a bit older.

Ugggh, last time someone tried to host an event in Big Sur it turned into 15pgs of bs. And the reason why I'll never try to organize an event again. With the exception of PIF of course.
http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=19682.msg210107#msg210107

And the actual report from that event disappeared/got deleted.  :smt009

Wow that was some intense reading there!
