Onsite reg is available Friday evening and Saturday morning, cash only please
Held at
TIMBER COVE
camping info on page 14

OMG! Bending Branches Paddle Co. just donated a $300
Angler Pro paddle.

Here it is! the one and only Wheeleez Beach Cart, nothing else like it.

WOOP WOOP! Liquid Image Co. just donated a super cool EGO 727 personal video camera, a $200 value. Check this thing out it's sooo bada$$

Ok here's the skinny on the Tom Ashby www.americanlegacyfishing.com donation. It's a G. Loomis GL2 633C JWR, a $195 rod. It's a bass rod really but would be great for light tackle rockfishin too. Follow the link under the photo for exact specifications.

The theme of the tournament is simplicity... old school kayak fishing. Nothin' fancy, just the angler and his/her gear, testing their skills.

To that end I am gonna level the playing field by limiting each angler to one rod and reel and three lures (provided), everybody fishes the same three lures, no bait, no scents.  No mechanized propulsion systems, no fish finders, no GPS, just a kayak, a paddle, landing gear and safety equipment.

The tournament will be held on Saturday November 9th at a location on the Sonoma Coast to be announced three days prior to the event. Weigh in will be at high noon  :cowboy_cool:

This is a winner take all cash prize, up to $600 for tax reasons. All after cost proceeds go towards the grand prize. If we exceed $600 (doubtful) the balance will be split 60/40 between second and third place. Single biggest (by weight) lingcod wins the tournament, If by some strange circumstance no lingcod are caught, then it's biggest single rockfish. All DFG rules and regs will apply.

There will also be a raffle of donated prizes from various manufacturers/sponsors. More on that later. Every entrant gets a raffle ticket, additional raffle tickets are avail on site for $5 each. You must be present to win. All additional ticket proceeds to Marv/Shicken.

Entry is $20.

You sure can. On site reg will have to be in cash to keep it simple. I don't want any of the finances hanging over me after the tourney.

I think you can, but they are not designed for that, so I don't think many, if any Hobie guys will show.

so the advantage goes to the person who knows the structure in the designated area.
Interesting but remember, that if you are not familiar with the area, that there are areas that are restricted in the Sonoma coast.
What about cell phone GPS?
I have only fish there once and don't know the structure or where the restricted areas (MPA's) are located so i need to make myself more familiar with the Coast.
maybe next time.
Have fun guys, it sounds great.

All that info is available online. Then you just need to study your charts. Don't sell yourself short. You can do this Luis!
