After finally getting the new Predator wet,
http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=49885.0
it is obvious that I will need a longer paddle with a larger scoop blade. Currently, I am using a 240 shaft lindel paddle with a Kinetik Touring 750 - 50cm x 20cm blade.
Not having much luck finding what I'm looking for,
Any help is always welcome.

I don't know where to send you for a longer, lighter weight paddle. 240 is about it from most companies. I have seen longer, just can't remember where.

Both Werner and Bending Branches are offering 250- 260 lenths. The new Werner "Hooked" paddle looks really sweet. Its got a high angle blade which gives you more shaft length overall. It also allows you to take a more natural stroke from the high seat position.

Eric,

I recently upgraded to the 250 carbon Aquabound manta ray and love it!

With the height of the  JK seat and the width of the cuda it really helps!!

You can try it on 10/13 if you want?

Sincerely,

Jim

Actually,
The homemade paddle might be a good option. Got a few tweaks in mind, and with the scraping and banging it will get....
Will try a few designs before deciding to drop big $$$ on a new one.

See Ya Soon,

You want a larger blade face than the 750?  That's already an oversized blade? I'm not sure going bigger will offer much, if you could even find a larger face.

For me on the Predator, in the low seating position, a 240 felt a tad long.  And in the high seating position, the 240 felt a tad short.  Go figure.

Wanting a larger blade for short bursts in tight river sections. The blade I have now does not grab enough water. Also, need longer shaft so I don't have to lower seat just to navigate a few bottlenecks. I know it is a odd request, but this is for a unique fishery and I really want to get dieled in as best I can.
I already have all the proper gear to fish other areas, but this is my home water where I fish most often ;0)

That's the thing.  I don't know if you're going to find a blade bigger than what you have on the 750.  Longer shaft, sure.  Bigger blade, not so sure.
