I'm also out as quickly as I was in.  The preschool we are thinking about placing Olivia in has an open house on Sunday so we won't be able to make it.  First world problems..

There is a fire ring in the Jetty day use area. Does anyone have fire wood for it? Might be a good way to keep people warm during the day. (Do the no burn days count with camping?).

Kinda late on this thread, but it's looking like I can make it up there Sunday morning. My first NCKA event! How exciting.
Also figure, since this would be my first ocean launch, it might be nice to have lots of friendlies around. You know, "just in case".

Now, the only thing I'm lacking more in,besides crabbing gear, is any sort of crabbing skills. 
So what I'm wondering is, what would be worth dropping a line for?

At the very least I can paddle around and help with clean up.

Can somebody with local knowledge post up the launch, crabbing area, hazards, etc. on a nautical chart like eric does for GS?

Barring that, just how far is it from the launch in which direction, and how deep is it/how much rope will we need?

It's my first time crabbing there so I won't be much help with some of the other details, hopefully others will chime in on it.  I have been told that most of the area where people will be crabbing is only about 20-30ft.  That should at least help you prep your gear.
