hehe Thanks guys! I certainly appreciate it.
I'll post up a report w/info later...I gotta download some pics of my halibut rig/setup, in case it helps someone in the future.

Halibut fish tacos were fantastic last night. I think my wife was more stoked on the fish than the kayak. But my daughter Rosie wasn't quite as stoked on the halibut LOL, she wouldn't touch that fish even with a glove!

Congrats Pat!  The plan you outlined to me at 6:30 seems to have paid off!   Good job buddy.

I had a great time.  I slayed the rockfish.  Dropper loop with a little chuck of squid.   This was the exactly same set up my dad used on the Islander trip.   The fist eventually took the paint off that red hook.  Used the same set up all day long.  First spot was on the other side of the second yellow can and then fished the kelp beds close in.  A couple nice verms in the mix for me.  Best drop to hookup ratio for me yet.   Weather was great,  not flat but pretty much still perfect.   Hung out with a sea otter in the kelp beds and saw a pod of dolphins or porpoises,  not sure on the id of them.   Wife and family picked me up at one and we spent the rest of the day at the fish prison (Aquarium).   Long day,  in bed at 11, up at 3,  back in bed at 11 again.   I did get to sleep till 8 this morning!

It was great to see so many people that I have not seen in so long.   I also think this derby was great.  Bushy and MBK did a great job.  I look forward to next year.

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”
