2013 Monterey Bay Kayaks Annual Derby

Wow what a nice day OTW. Thanks to MBK and Bushy for hosting. Congrats to PK with another A Hull tourney win. It was kind of slow for me fishingwise except for dinky sand dabs and octopus. Had a massive spectra tangle which took me 10 minutes to fix. While I was working on it I dropped a whole squid with a sand dab trailer to the bottom and 5 minutes later I had a nice ling. Only 6.5 pounds, but after a half dozen salmon skunks, it was nice to bring something home. Really had a great time hanging with Monterey and Santa Cruz crew. Life is good.

Thanks to Allen and for all his hard work putting these types of events together.  The spirit behind the tournament is usually what I come out to support.  Those of us who have caught ocean salmon from these program have seen their direct benefit. All the more reason to continue to support these events and these programs.

Great to see mooch and all the brothers. Until next year. 
Who will be the first for a dynasty (3 wins at MBK)? PAT or EUgene?
