Hey just wanted to see if there is anyone that has been wanting to hit up the port soon.  I will probably be heading out some time over the next couple of days. Just trying to get a feel for who would want to head out there. Fishing with company is always more fun than fishing alone IMO.

What i have understood is that you can fish at night on the Sacramento River but you cannot fish on the American River at night. So I'm assuming if you can fish at night on the Sac then if you were to catch a salmon during a night time session then it is all good. Correct me if i am wrong. for years now i have been leaving the American at sunset because i though that it was the rule. I fish the Sacramento at night all the time during sturgeon season.

American River below Business 80 allows for night fishing and the Sacramento river anything north of Interstate 80 you are restricted by the take of trout/salmon at night. Sac County limits the use of the county park hours, which means a lot of the AR and some of the Sac access point are off limits after hours through. The 2013 Freshwater regs are below with the restrictions.

Because there is no current (other than tides) the port and its surroundings (as I understand it) are not considered "River" and fall under regs for the Delta instead.

I plan on commencing my assault on the Port in two weeks, a little early, but what the heck. Currently I am still working very hard on securing an updated camo kayak, I am hoping to have that ironed out in two weeks.. I will definitely hit you up.. :smt003
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
