Just pressing the quote to "quote" you took 10 seconds.  It is still worth the wait.

Hmmm ... I don't think I have any tracking cookies.  But maybe the ads are dropping some.  Grrr ....

And yes, it's fast on chrome on mac on wifi at home for me too.  But I'll check on it anyways.

Hmmm ... it is indeed slower, and I think correlated to enabling the chat function.  Let me tune some parameters and see if it makes a difference.  Thanks you for your patience.

That chat is actually very resource hungry, as why most of the other sites do not use it.

Using Chrome I get this

"Oops! Google Chrome could not find --original-process-start-time=13014370778859726"

each time I connect to the site. Doesn't happen anywhere else.

I use in-private browsing. It has no tracking, cookies, history.
My works new computer policy was blocking all unauthorised use, but not now when it can't find it.

Sorry about that hiccup just now.  I was trying an even newer version of the chat which just came out after I had grabbed the other version.  However, it proceeded to suck up ALL resources and then some.  I couldn't get in through the site to uninstall it, so had to log into the server and manually uninstall it which also was slow as mud.
