I fished Pinto lake almost daily as a kid.  Was a fun lake to fish ... Was.  Destroyed now.  Used to kayak it daily on my lunch break.  Lots of memories.  Fish it with masa balls.  Back end of the lake the carp could be seen rolling on the surface.  Bow would have been fun.  Great bass there back in the day too.

Let me know, we might have to host an informal NCKA carp tourney!

My go-to bait for carp is Ivory Soap.  I'll take a cake of soap and cut it into squares.  It will go right on a hook AND it floats!  Great to keep it off the bottom a little.

My parents love to eat them, and that's exactly what our go to bait is. Buy come Coen meal, add water and sugar. I'm not sure about the exact recipe but when u get it right, the bite is on! Also don't forget the canned corn kernals!!! U need to chum that around your fishing spot to enhance the ensuing mayhem of carp fishing.

I think snagging would be one of the best ways to do it for quality and quantity. It's legal for carp too. Punch the primer out of a .44 mag casing, stick a big treble up through it and fill the casing with lead. With this set up you can target the big ones. Kinda like i did the other evening!

What size hook?

I would be down for NCKA folk descending upon Pinto Lake for an all out ass whooping on these fish. Opening day is close!

Not sure if they are letting boats or yaks in the lake again thought.  Might have to be done frOm shore.
