The first Event that I attended was your Yakhopper's 2010 ARW Kayak fishing series.  What made that even more special was that I got lucky enough to win it. :smt003  It's partially why I keep trying for halis' here at the ARW, even though I don't get lucky. :smt010  Guess I'll just keep posting ARW weather and water conditions. :smt006

Eric, you were one of the first people that offered to take me out when I joined the board.
I just want to thank you for that, I hope we get on the water again soon.

I'll probably be in the minority here but here is goes anyway...

While Eric probably has some legitimate concerns, I think posting up in a public forum where 80% of the membership dont understand what the underlying issues are and threatening to "take your ball and go home" is just as childish as the reactions that caused the original problems.  I dont think this is a problem for the masses of NCKA and I feel that this being handled poorly.

Eric I have met you once at the Silverlake Yakhopper event last year and I did enjoy the event.  I am also relatively new to kayak fishing and I dont personally understand what you have or havent contributed to the sport of yak fishing.  What you have contributed I appreciate greatly because I love the sport now.  But this post all started over a week ago and you have had an outpouring of public support, but I find it ridiculous that there has been

A) no public response by you to people that did support you
B) no specific items listed you feel need to be addressed so you can make a decision to stay or go.
C) a decision one way or the other

I think the moderators at NCKA should lock and/or delete this thread and handle this issue with Eric directly and the parties involved.

It's not a moderators decision.  We just clean up after personal attacks and name calling.

But since I'm here, I'd like to address the last part of Eric's post in which he talks about sponsors.  Let's just say that Eric and I worked it out by going fishing.  There was a big misunderstanding.  No harm, no foul on either side.

I disagree and appreciate Eric's opinion and continued support of the sport.
