Thanks for info, I would have to think closer to bathrooms and awnings... for the food set up, maybe we can be spread out with yaks by the ramps "B" and food "A"...???

We can setup base camp at the picnic areas with the awnings and those who want to kayak can just walk down to the boat launch area.

Another option for non-kayak fisherman would be this area and I believe it is designated for anglers with disabilities; even has bench to sit down on. Plus this was the area where the shore fishermen caught the fish last weekend.

The one who dies with the most toys, WINS!

Thanks G-Whiz!!!

 Smashing!!!...

Looks like these dates are good, so I'm sending a letter to EBRPD with our Demands  :rambo:

yup, snail mail..  that's the way they do it... :smt012  so we will be in holding pattern on what will be waived but I'm feeling pretty confident we will get the permit for the 8th, so let the planning begin...

I'm figuring around 20 participants for kayaking and unknown amount for shore fishing, we'll see how we do on volunteers and we do have some non-ncka that could help with shore fishing and cooking...

If KayakJack is on board, Love the breakfast Burritos for arrival,  :fat

but lets keep it simple for lunch so we can get you out on the water guiding and someone else to flip burgers and dogs  :cook

I have 3 20lb bags of charcoal...

probably need an easy up or 2 for the " B" area  and some kayaks would be nice....

whats the hot rig set up for Quarry Lakes Trophies?

I believe the lower portion of the dock is inaccessible til the lake level rises later this year.

The beach area south of the ramp would be a better bet for shore fishing than the area east of the ramp, but that area fills up fast, ("Fisherman's Row").

Any sort of price break would be wonderful.  Otherwise it's dang near $20 to park, get inspected, and fish.

Don,

I am a regular at Quarry Lakes and a Fremont Resident.  I called one of the Park Rangers there who I have known through the years.  She said to get the ball rolling faster, you should contact direct:

Tiffany Margulici, Special Events Coordinator at [email protected] or (510) 544-2540

http://www.ebparks.org/activities/permits  - See "Day Camp Operation Permit"

I will be helping out and bringing a yak with fishing gear.

Good Luck,

Mel

try to find out when they next stock the pond, then have it the day after; will increase the chances of them catching fish....
