Quarry Lakes February 22, 2013

Happy New Year All!!!   

We're starting to get an event rolling for Quarry Lakes sometime early February. This will be a midweek event as per the VA's request and probably a Friday.

Would like to know interest in helping out as to know how many wounded warriors we could handle.

We would also be able to take on more to shore fish too as there are some unable or
 not interested???  in kayakfishing....

Quarry Lakes is in Fremont and what to make?  :smt003Burritos of course, unless another veterans group can help out. I can try to make this one, I'll just have to get sick!

Funny... Mooch & I were just talking about this when we were there last weekend!

Based on our observation of the place, there are 'A' or 'B' would be the best options based on accessibility and facility amenities; and there is a fence that separates the picnic area from access to the water, except thru designated gates...

Option A - Pros: Closes to bathrooms, has covered awning with grouped tables, close to parking / Cons: grade to lake may be kind of steep, kinda of a walk to the launch ramp (which has an easy decent to water line.

Option B - Pros: close access to boat ramp with easy decent to water / Cons: Far from rest rooms, no overhead covering, tables are separated.

Also, will they be waiving the inspection fee?

Thanks for info, I would have to think closer to bathrooms and awnings... for the food set up, maybe we can be spread out with yaks by the ramps "B" and food "A"...???

 I'm working on getting the entrance fees waived, but unless the Rangers step up and do the inspections themselves and it's granted from EBRPD ( Like San Pablo from EBMUD stepping up last time), it's a separate company that does not budge on getting their $$$, I've tried....  But it's not stopping me from asking and I'll let ya all know....

We would also have to pay for Daily Fishing Permits, no room for wiggle their either.... but at least that goes to buy fish...
