For those of you that didn't make the deadline, I suggest you come up and fish and chill anyway. Sure, you won't get to enter the tournament, but I doubt that there is a single person here who entered just for a chance at one the great prizes Eric has gathered.

I had a GREAT time at GS5 and I didn't fish all weekend.
+1.
GS and Albion for me are FAMILY REUNIONS and hanging with bros I don't see on a regular basis AND eat good all weekend... and hopefully catch big fish!
You can participate 100% same registered or non-registered.  The only difference is you don't get a t-shirt and goodie bag.

Thank you, Guys, for your support.   :smt008

Eric-

I say no all the time, piss off half the people I come across on any given day due to the nature of my job,  and ref high school football in the HDNL so I know quite well how to be unpopular and take heat.

If you need a NO man, I'm your guy.  Just let me know who to say NO to.

Doug - You're the Man!  What you've written here is appreciated!   :smt005

And there's only a ~.5% chance of winning a kayak, anyway!  :smt003

Oh man!!!!! Just go for the food!!!!! Every year! I can't make this event :smt010 If you have the opportunity to go... GO! paid or not!!!!! Just the info on the water, watching some of the BEST yak fisherman in the world :smt005 go at the Pacific to Win! To be learning for free is priceless!!! Seeing everyone and living the Lifestyle even for just a few days is refreshing to body and mind! Y'all have fun and stay safe. Wish'en I was fish'en with ya!!! :smt006

Since some seem to have never fished a bass tourney, There is no bending the rules... It is what it is... Eric, Amazing system you have developed to do a 200+- participant event without a staff is awesome. All that come (most) are there to have a great time and it happens! You do you, and if they get bent, It's them not you having the problem. Thanks for putting this event together and one of these years, I'm gonna make it there :smt005

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Having run a few big (Snow Skiing) events I know that it's impossible to make everyone happy. One has to follow fixed guidelines or it screws up the event for almost everyone except those that never feel that the rules apply to them. Eric, you gave everyone plenty of advanced warning. You were very clear and we support you. As for Team Jackson, welcome guys. We really appreciate your sponsor's support. I can't see them wanting or needing the grand prize  as they are already sponsored. I don't have a heartache with them getting an Ab  for best team cuss it won't hurt my ego. Anyway, I've got a team of awesome anglers and we're going to kick team Jacksons ass  :smt005
As Dustin and Eric (yakhopper) said, ultimately it's not about the the prize, but about our extended NCKA family (WWMD ?)
If you don't have a team, just speak up in a post and you'll get invitations. Cuss that's how we roll.
Please, Please, Please, come prepared. Support your teammates. Don't ignore Eric's safety warnings! The last thing most of us want is yet another Northern tournament thread saying thanks to all my NCKA bros for saving my foolish ass!
Winner, 2012 Fisherman's Warehouse, Tiki Lagoon - Stripers.

Proud paddler - Pay it Forward Paddle 2010 / 2011 / 2012 / 2013 / 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018

In the game of biggest fish, if you can't enjoy routinely gettin' your ass handed to you, by great fishermen, then you don't belong in the NCKA.

Well said Eric. As usual, a well thought and practical response to what could be a very difficult issue.  I always look forward to GS and the way you make it happen.  I'm a little concerned that it is getting so big that keeping that "something special" kind of feel is going to be difficult but if anyone can pull it off, it's you.  I'm a long way from the "Cove" but if there's anything I can do to assist, please don't hesitate to call on me.
