TEAM COMPETITION UPDATE:

I found out the other day that Tad probably can't make it this year, and he's headed up the team organization and compilation of scores the past two years+.  I'm hoping someone else will want to step up and take the reigns on this.  The job entails:

- get a team name for each registered angler
- help identify teamless anglers and get them hooked up
- confirm the composition of teams prior to the event
- compile team scores (total scores of individuals divided by number of teammates, regardless of how many ended up fishing the tourney)
- provide official results
- provide a prize or prizes (optional, and I'm willing to pitch in some tourney dough for something we agree on)

Although teams are required for the tournament (fish in teams of at least two), I don't ask for a team name on the registration, and it's really not part of my process.  So getting everyone's team name will likely entail PM'ing each registered participant and keeping an updated list on this thread.  Setting people up with teams can be as easy as providing a list here on the thread and updating it as people chime in that they've hooked up with someone else on the list.  If you'd like the job I'll throw in a hoody, but don't come asking for too much help or guidance, or I'll fire your ass!   :smt002 :smt005

Seriously, I'd appreciate someone doing this, and you could get some tips from Tad about how he wants it to go (because I think he'll administer it again in the future), but I don't have room on my plate for it.  Thanks for the consideration.   :smt001

Yeah, Buddy!  I'd forgotten about that video - very nice job, Bro.  Catching halibut is one of the most exciting and unique things about GS.  Can't wait to see and hear who hooks up this year.  About 51" is the score to beat.   :smt007

Thanks Eric, looking forward to this one big time!  Last year I drug along the family and did the beach house thing, keeping things much more simple this year which will give me much more time on the water.
