No problem at all, Paul.  One can sponsor as many others as one chooses.  Sponsorship is simply a means of providing some basic level of qualification for new people to the tournament.  If you have friends who you know to be honorable people who will not end up in an undesirable situation such as fighting, drunkeness, criminal behavior...etc. then one should feel comfortable sponsoring as many people as possible.  The simple existence of the sponsorship program should actually be enough to minimize the potential for any bad trips.   :smt001

And don't forget that all participants must be NCKA members.  Thanks.

CAMPGROUND INFO UPDATE:

The Shelter Cove Campground and Deli is telling people on the phone that no reservations are needed to be in the group area for GS7.  I'm not sure when they start that or when they end it (Friday to Monday?), and I've not heard the price, but the last couple years it's been $20 per person per night in the group area.  The advantages are that there's lots of space in there, it's all NCKA for a couple acres...etc.  People are also able to reserve spots outside the group area, and many with trailers, RV's...etc. will do that.  The advantages to having a site outside the group area aren't clear - the sites are really small and expensive.  So unless you have a trailer, camper or RV you should probably stay in the group area and enjoy more space than if you reserve a spot outside of the group area.

I'm not saying that any drinking is frowned on.  It's "drunkeness" on a level that will more likely lead to altercations that I'm referring to.  I like to have a few brews like most of us do - we're watching out for people who may go off the deep end and get blackout / obnoxious / dangerous drunk.  As for "medical", GS is a family friendly event, but any campground in Humboldt County has a potential pot smell in the air...  I'm counting on people to be respectful of others, and I'm counting on families to realize that there may be a pot smell at times.  The bottom line:  be respectful of others.

Jack has the corner by the airstrip set aside for me and this corner is the quieter side. The party is usually by the road corner as you come in so the campground is sort of broken into two group sites for us. If you want to be able to get away from the party and be more in a family atmosphere tell them you want to be in the corner by Greg. I like to visit the party group but am getting to old to hang with the crew :beer3

I'm thinking a big roll of shrink wrap & a backboard for anyone on our team that steps too far over the line. We can stand 'em up on the promenade as an example to others. :smt001
