The notion that I'm gonna skip discussions in which you post is flawed. Your the one making offensive comments. Until now I've taken to the "allow him to shoot himself in the foot/ dont feed the troll" approach. No more, I'm responding from here on out unless asked by the mods not to. You dont get to have it your"dont read it" way. Once you put out out there its open for discussion.

The self-moderation on this site has always been a strong point (with a few hiccups), esp considering how big it's grown.
With the homo comment as an exception, most discussions are handled in a fairly mature manner, without becoming overly PC.
Personally, I don't mind seeing a few F-bombs & sh*t flurries when they get the point across but it also isn't too much trouble to replace a few letters with #^&@, at least in a headline. If nothing else, I would do it simply out of respect for other people's concerns about their kids or g*d d@mn workplace!

I DO find most of your posts informative and conducive to a vibrant discussion. I guess thats why I'm disappointed when I see offensive stuff.

Based on our single real life interaction I like you. I just feel this stuff is divisive here on NCKA.

Guess im one of the thin skinned crew. Its a product of a life where I've experienced the death and horrors produced by rampant racism and homophobia.

Hope we can still share a beer next time we meet.

Well said Piski.  NCKA is far more than just a "Guys" club.  The Loose Screws are a family team and that includes the spouses and the kids. I'm sure there are other groups within NCKA with similar family themes.  I don't advocate a "sterile" environment but hate and discrimination don't fit.  I agree with Allan regarding the offensiveness of the hate and racist remarks.  I'm sure there are other venues to post that kind of stuff, if one needs to do it.  I still don't advocate censorship but rather thoughtful consideration for the entire audience when posting.  I used to tell new retail employees to keep there conversations in front of customers to content suitable for their grandmother to hear.  That's a little extreme for this environment but sensitivity towards all 'readers" would seem like a good place to start.  Just my two cents!
