Hoping to make it out myself and enjoy hooking up with everyone. about how deep does everyone typically set there crab traps? thanks Bulldog :smt006

It all depends on how far you want to paddle/peddle; most drop in 40'-45' of water, which is straight out of the Pillar Point Jaws...

Yea, I was wondering about this as well.  For those of you planning on getting there Friday, where will you guys be staying at?

I was possibly considering going Friday as to avoid getting up early and driving sat morning so I was thinking of just getting there early and sleeping in the car.  Just curious what the rest of you getting there Friday will be doing.

The parking lot there is huge right across the Kayak Co.  I guess you guys can sleep in the car Friday night, not sure Half Moon Bay Port Authority enforcing no overnight parking there.  In the past, I have seen some RVs parked there when I arrived there early in the morning.  If not, you can always drive either North or South along Hwy 1 and there are many places you can park on the side of the road for a nap.

We (the kayakers) usually park in the main parking lot directly across the road from HMB kayak; but not the one directly next to the buildings (ie: Princeton by the Sea, etc). And, yes you can sleep in your vehicle.... and there are bathrooms directly across from the Harbor Master's Office, by the boat berths.

Yeah, we should be chilling all weekend long... weather permitting... if there is rain forecasted for that weekend, not sure I will be bringing the RV; but will definitely be bringing the crab boiler....

I will be there on Sat and Sun, will follow team leader Mr. Glen.

Was planning to PB with Lapu Lapu; but decided to kayak crab with you guys!!!!

ill be there sat.what time?and where abouts.or do i just drive down and look for all the kayaks.also is there room for a trailer?boat trailer not rv

There will be kayakers going in and out throughout the day; I plan to launch around 8am, drop pots and the go for some rockfish while the pots/traps soak; then pull the pots in after a couple of hours and then starting CHILLING!!!!!

Im comming  and cant wait.  :smt003 Should be a blast!!!!!

Hi Vikki!!! glad you can join us!!! we'll be in the same area of the parking lot!!!
