I've already met 2 of my goals: shoot a Big fat Monkey and Big fat Ling!

http://doty.ncka.org/catches/94

http://doty.ncka.org/catches/133

 :smt003

Also wanted to shoot my first Verm, and managed to get one but he was a little on the small side so I still need a "real" one.

http://doty.ncka.org/catches/50

 :smt005

Also, want to shoot my first Sheephead (saw one last week but couldn't get a shot), my first Calico (seen two, did not get either), and my first speared Halibut.

If the opportunity arises I would also love to put in some time ghost hunting with my bigger speargun with a slip-tip.

BIG goal is to shoot a fish, any fish at Shelter Cove!! This will be my third year in a row up there, and I am giving myself 3 days before the tourney to explore and dive and get some!

 :smt003 :smt005 :smt044

Lot of goals for sure!!!

Sincerely,

Jim

My goal is to not buy any more fishing gear, and catch fish.

There seems to be an inverse relation between how much crap I buy vs how many fish I catch.

Last year I had alot of issues to tend to and my time on the water was limited, actually time for anything was limited, this year will be different.  I'm looking for something different this year, more multi-day fish/camp trips.  I aim to tow up to Ocean Cove, a boat in trip to Emerald Bay, overnight mothership trips on the delta and a socal roadie and river boarding with Tote.
..........agarcia is just an ex-kayaker

My goal is just to fish more , LOTS MORE ! In a younger day fishing would be counted in times per week , as I aged and had obligations it became , how many times a month . Now as I'm turning into a Old Fart fishing trips are counted per year , between procrastenation and fuel prices I don't fish like I need/ want .

Last year started fishing Big Hammers successfully , would like to do that more off jetties , etc when we are RVing . Also have a rack this year , so my kayak will accompany me when traveling .   :smt003

Catch a fish.
I have become, quite possibly, the worst fisherman I know as of late.

I will give you a run for your money on that Tote! I need to regain my passion for fishing....I have totally lost it.

My goal is to catch a salmon and a halibut on my kayak this year. And try and fish/camp every weekend. I want to get more comfortable on the ocean and explore the different areas along the coast.

I've kayaked the ocean a ton and fished freshwater my whole life. This year I want to go coastal and catch some saltwater fish. Also would like to go Ab Diving.
Looks like you could check one of those goals off your list :smt023

New goal~Dive with an experienced freediver and hit 45 feet this year.
My PB is 55, but that was 10 years ago in Cozumel with 84 degree water, no wetsuit or weightbelt and viz forever.
