Had some poplar plankage left over from AOTY, and whipped this little guy out. Looking at it the other day I realized that this is a rare one, with his eyes on the wrong side :smt044

Awesome work! Do you have a website with pics of your work? Do you sell them. Would love to have one in the house, or maybe I will have to fish more and get one through AOTY :smt044

I don't have a current website, but have been trying to put one together for a while. I do sell pieces. Currently I am building up some inventory for an open studio weekend on July 28-29th so I am hanging on to everything until after that. This piece will show for $100. Once the show is done I'll probably do a "clearance", and NCKA will always get notified!

My future pieces are going to be several using painted steel panels mounted on a wood base, a big piece shaped like a hull patch for a sailing ship with a vermilion head design, and a grouping of small pieces (think refrigerator magnets). All presuming I can pull it off that is.

thanks for looking guys!
And you hard fishing winners of AOTY, get ready to enjoy the spoils of your efforts! :smt003

:smt044 Me either! "Whitey" is still prominently displayed in my front yard, in all his 4x8 foot 2" thick planking glory. In the Doon we are now known as the house with the fish garden!
Here is Whitey only partially finished but you get the idea.

Very Nice Sean I thought of you when I saw this you gotta do some paddles before they stop making them out of wood.
