Thanks Moose.  Try again at the tournament page at http://www.kayakfishing.com/events.html
Registrations are coming in since you posted so I know it's working.  You can also call or email me anytime to register.

I fished Ocean Cove yesterday with Gerard the paella chef.  He's a sick kayak fisherman and really excited about the Fall Classic.  The water went clear to 40' but we still scratched out released limits of small fish close to the mouth of the cove.  I had 3 legal  lings and a 14 pounder there Friday and they bit well for my friends over the weekend.  Hoping to try again in a day or 2.

The Fall Classic is only 2 months from today and the bigger movement of spawning fish should be moving in too.  I love this time of year.

I just found a bunch of email drafts confirming Fall Classic registrations that didn't send.  Nobody's mentioned it and sorry if anyone got a late response, they might just be copies. I resent them all today.  I also don't get a chance to read the NCKA forums every day so please, feel free to contact me anytime at Spike@kayakfishing.com, PM me here or call me at 818-970-2392.

We've been adding more sponsors for the raffle and decided to keep the sponsor links published as part of the tournamenmt record.  New sponsors for The Fall Classic include Ranger Nets, Darkfin.com, Trekmates (Flamelesscook.com), Ribz fishing packs, LoopRope-the revolutionary fastening (tiedown) system, RTM back-up paddles, Subscriptions to Western Outdoor News..........more prizes to come.

Our kayak fishing buddy  and paella master Chef Gerard is waaaaay into making a drop dead pan or 2 for this event Friday night.  We'll do a little gathering, a lot of seafood buying and take contributions from anglers.  I'd like to take this oportunity to solicit 5 -10 anglers to donate one abalone each for the paella.  A fresh frozen ab works fine too.

That's it for now, I'm really excited about the event and the opportunity to hook-up with so many kayak fishers.

Michelle and I plus a crew of helpers are gearing up for "The Fall Classic" kayak fishing tournament at Ocean Cove October 27th http://www.kayakfishing.com/events.html
Early registrations are only approaching 25 anglers (about half from NCKA but I think NCKA will trounce the non-locals population-wise) with twice as many indicating they will register so far.   If the numbers stay low, there's a pretty better chance of landing a fishing kayak.

Someone suggested I list a roster of registrants, a few (including NCKA) registrants have preferred not to be listed so I figure anglers who want to network their participation will do it via this thread.  We'll have a better event/registration page at Kayakfishing.com for the next event to support a roster and other stuff.

I'm really serious about the Sunday Brunch Cook-off and hope we get some entries.  We have enough of the planet's cuisines fishing in kayaks to make it funner than a chili cook-off.  I'll throw my hat into the fire ring with Chicken and Waffles with Salmonberry Syrup....influenced from South Los Angeles and Coleman Valley.
I'm cooking on antique cast iron.  Michelle has seen me with the waffle irons (newly aquired and unseasoned irons) and clearly suggested that I'm looking for "a heapin` helpful of humiliation" with this entry.
Cook-off contestants need to make at least 6 servings for the judges.  I'd like to partner up on my entry too... The prize is cast iron or cash, winners choice.  If side bets are illegal in The Golden State.......All questions should be directed to Tournament Headquarters.  BTW, the Weigh-in and scale will be located at the fish cleaning station (at the top of the ramp) at Ocean Cove, NOT at Tournament Headquarters.

Please submit your registrations at the web site asap. There is a ton of planning and early sign-ups will help it run smooth and avoid too early a cut-off for registration. Even if you just come up for dinner Friday or Saturday (don't miss the "weigh-in" at 2pm Saturday), you'll get a great taste of the kayak fishing community and some spectacular chow. It's going to be a bash!

If you want a reserved site or a "Quiet Site" (nobody partying next to your tent) get your reservation in fast, these sites will sell out.

I will be there. I sleep in my mini van. Anybody care to share a site with me? I am a very quiet person. Thanks for your kind consideration.
I did not have a site reserved yet. Just want to split the rental expense with anyone whose site is big enough for one more mini van parking.
