More evidence of what happens when fish enter the "Sledge-Omatic", thanks Sledge.

Sorry about the fliers, Ocean Cove Store, Fort Ross Store, Brenda at Timber Cove and Outback Adventures have them.  I'll do a lot better job of promoting the next event, kinda emabarrassed at how rusty I am after a decade since the last one.  The whole landscape is different and I'm learning a lot again. It was much easier when Kayakfishing.com was the only kayak fishing web site :smt001

I've had enough feedback about not publishing a roster that I know I blew that for NCKA and I apologize for.  Now, I have a list of registrants for The Fall Classic that doesn't differentiate NCKA and non-NCKA :smt013  If anyone wants to get the ball rolling and start a roster on this thread...I thought that would happen naturally when I ruled out a roster.  Oops!  We will have fleshed out all the bugs with a "one-stop" registration form next time around.

Waivers can be dropped off (and will be available) at Tournament Headquarters at Ocean Cove starting at Noon Friday.... I'll be in touch with registrants this week to folow-up on T-shirt sizes and waivers.

I've been working the coast some and meeting a lot of NCKAers who only read the site occassionally and didn't know about The Fall Classic.  If you have compadres you think might like to participate, please get the word out.  As of today, the chance of winning a kayak prize is about 1 in 7.  The raffle is approaching a few thousand dollars in value with better than half of that recieved and we're getting new committments added daily.

Late Registration-I missed a proof and Western Outdoor News published Friday the 26th as the registration date for the event so there will be late registration on-site.

Lastley, If you mailed in your Fall Classic registration...please drop me a PM so we can confirm.

Thnaks All, we're stoked and excited to hook-up with everyone at Ocean Cove.

I just paypaled you, Spike. Looking forward to it!

Is it me or has the link for waver forms been down for about a week?

Also wondering if we fish and sleep somewhere other than OC do we need to pay at OC to get into the weigh-in?

Good question
I think there is an $8 day use fee
Spike, can we get that waved for the Friday night Paella feed and Sat after the tourney. It is really good PR for OC campground. If not, just let us know so we pay and don't piss off the good folks at OC

If it was a State or county park, we'd have to pay the day use/parking fee as a guest or visitor.  I think it's best to give OC their due with walk-ons and makes a better statement from the kayak fishing community.  Entry fees is their business and I wouldn't feel comfortable asking them for comps to the campground for our event.  It's only $7 bucks (per car, not per person) a day at OC + $8 for launching, launching is free if you roll your kayak down and up, and $20 a night for camping.

Thnaks for the heads up on the link.

Thanks, glad you guys did well.  We scratched out near limits plus as many released but the big fish never bit.
or willPlease include your shirt size with you registration and everyone who has a register, please email me your shirt size(s).  You can do the releases at the event on Friday if that's easiest.  Our web manager Chuck is back from fetching his plane and should have that link fixed later today at the Events Page at Kayakfishing.com.
Again, thanks for all your help, I'll have all these bugs streamlined for the next tourney.

Two questions:

What time is the Friday feast?

If we are Kayak spearfishing, Can we enter speared fish on Saturday?

Spike

I'm telling people paella at 4pm, within an hour of that I figure.
Speared fish are not permitted.  Hook/lure and line only.
