WENT KAYAK FISHING FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY WITH SLEDGE A LONG TIME FIREND OF 20 YRS AND I CAN SEE HOW YOU GUYS LOVE WHAT YOUR DOING . ALTOUGH I HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING BUT PADDLE IN A KAYAK AND WE BOTH DIDNT CATCH ANYTHING I HAD A BLAST AND WERE GOING AGAIN TOMMOROW..SLEDGE FIGURED OUT THE RIGHT GEAR TO USE FOR SALMON FISHING ON THE AMERICAN RIVER AND IM LOOKING FORWARD TO HOOKING MY FIRST FISH OFF A KAYAK.....Sledge is trying to tell me the only way to land a big one is we need to start drinking at 5 in the morning.Is that true??? he says will ''GET SOME""..............HAIL TO THE SLDEGE HAMMER.......

That stretch you guys fished tonight closes Oct 31st so get your time in while you can. I'll probably fish that section tomorrow night from shore after work and again this weekend from the kayak if your free. Just make sure you're using barbless from Hazel down the SMUD power lines below the golf course. (DFG regs 7.50(b) section C )

Mikeys a really kewl guy his family loves to fish when I'm around... :smt044 :smt044 :smt044  Hopefully the wee hours bring us some pink...Abdiver that "local knowledge" was (DFG regs 7.50(b) section C ) :smt003 :smt044 :smt044 :smt044  So gearing up and most definitly are going to "Get Some" tomorrow...Big fish bombing the top surface all eve...and the drift boat was killing um...all me gear was for up north...got to scale it down for sacto area...and get something large....ya baby...

i made a mistake we started drinking at 4:00 instead of five---just joking mike has been a good friend for yrs and no matter how hard he could try im not a drinker---Until i get to my property in mulege then i will drink a few----But sledge says to say plus 4-------------------

So were going out again tommorow and sledge says just to let you know he was very respectful of my first and second time out.And he was awesome explaining all the safety issues that go along with kayaking.He is awesome at the sport and im glad he has introduced me to it.Now i just need to catch a fish and i will be hooked for life.Also just to let everyone know it was just a joke about the drinking part we only drank water..I dont even drink..... :smt003

   Good chatting with you earlier Mike.   WTTM    I love Mulege, been there many times over the years windsurfing and fishing.
