There are still some sites left. The ones by the Jetty are the best ones since thats where the crabbing will be happening.

Ok I'm a definately in I can bring an extra yak and gear as well as turkey cooker setup to boil crabs if needed. Let me know what I can do to help. I was Active duty Marine 99 to 03 so this is a very good cause in my book.

I'll start saving salmon carcases for bait from the AR crews.
Where did he go george

I am still waiting to hear...  should know tomorrow morning...

I have already booked site 122 for the night before on 11/18,  it's a little further away than 107, but has more room for camping, site 126 is also available for Friday night...

both need to be cleared by 12 noon... and only 8 people per site, extra cars at $6 and parked in day use area...

the only way to get both nights is the Miwok disabled tent camping at $150 night, can handle 20 people, $30 reservation fee...

The first come first served are usually gone by Friday, so if this is the target, a Thursday recon would need be

no way to get fees waived on any of this...  :smt009

Keep posted....

  Thanks

OK....  :smt004

        We are approved!!!     :white

Can not get any fees waived... even have to pay for the permit....

Thanks Frank for trying to get something done here as the only way for us to get an over night for Saturday is a very expensive Miwok campground....

I've got the site for Friday night, #122, 8 people,

but lets see if Frank can pull some magic again....   :albino:

EXCELLENT !!   I am looking forward to taking the vets crabbin. It's gonna be a lot of fun. Don, should i go ahead and contact the owner(my friend tom) of the bamboo reef dive shop about borrowing some of his rental wetsuits and booties? Raydon and I can also do a little menu planning. Hopefully, Frank can pull a rabbit out of his hat on the camping. It would be nice to soak the pots the night before and also stay the night after to make a weekend out of it.

How much are the fees?

I'll see if I can cover it with donations.

Also,  what is the best crap trap?  There are several choices.

Raydon

I caught more crabs there using the big rings than my Danielsons or Promars!  But if you plan to soak them overnight then Danielson traps are the best for us.
