Hi, Folks

I know it is a little early, but as you know we need to plan it in advance.

I went ahead and reserved 2 campsites in limekiln state park in one night.
Currently, we (4 eBay folks - Dave, Tim, Mike & Eric) decide to go.  I have additional spots for ~10 people.
My intention is for people from NCKA to stay ONE NIGHT and fish FOR 2 DAYS.
If not many people are interested, I can always cancel one camping site.

Cost:  less than $10/person, ( depend on how many will join)
Dates: Two dates and one night (May-6 and May-7).
Vehicles: 2 vehicles per camp site, total of 4 vehicles. Carpool is highly recommended.
Capacity: 8 people per site, 16 people in total

Who will be interested in joining this trip? If so, send me how many in your party.

Reservation:  (two campsites reserved)

Another note the LimeKiln ranger has a reputation for being a bit aggressive, make sure you have all the proper licenses and know the regs.

Let me check WAF but I would love to join you, I just ordered a new tent that I would love to try out.

Isn't the 6th - the Lake Mendo striper derby? Sean, can you confirm this?

Info -- We are going out for rockcod fishing opener at the south of Point Sur. The park won't open until 8AM. You are not restricted from launching if you camp in the park.

I will do everything within my power to be there.  THE SUR has haunted my thoughts since the first time I heard about it.  Alot to juggle though.

I might go, but I don't really need a campsite. I just crash in my van at a pullout.

I'd also much prefer to launch at mill creek.  It's less of a paddle and there aren't a-hole rangers about.

I'd love to do some free or scuba diving around that area, the water is nice and clear and there are WSB about.  I've seen some amazing photos by scuba divers down there, and I'd like to see those coral formations covered with rockfish myself.

I can't commit yet, but both trips sound good. I've never been to either.

I reserved another site, because I am planning on bringing my family.  I am staying 5-7 may.  I was glad to hear others were planning to go.

We plan to have 2 days of fishing and one night camping. I prefer one day at Mill creek and another day at Limekiln. Hopefully, the range leaves us alone at this time.

The ranger is just not a happy gentleman.  I suggest memorizing the park rules and carrying a current copy of the F&G regs with you.  Be able to positively ID fish (probably carry a pic chart with you as well) This guy attempts to enforce regs he does not know about and tried to enforce the 1 ling @ 30" rule after it had been switched back to 2 @ 24".

Why would you want to launch from limekiln only to paddle south to the mill creek area?  The border is halfway between.

It helps to go stealth when you bury bloated dogs.
