This really isnt a report. Just sharing a Team Bridgeport adventure in hopes to inspire.
As in years past, our tourney went beyond lake county borders for more species to target and a bigger adventure.
We had planned on Clear Lake, Blue lakes, Mendo, the coast, and then more C-Lake.
Weather was a factor for us all week and unfortunately our stop at Blue Lakes was cancelled. We were still able to get alot of fun packed into the windows in the weather.
The tour started with the arrival of last years big winner and the Kraken jumped right in to his pregame. Cant blame him. The trophy was on the bar and how could he not want another one of those in his house?

After the rest of the b-port posse arrived, the next stop was Tackle-It in Lakeport for intel and gear.

Over the years, the folks at Tackle-It have taken an interest in our annual gathering and have donated to the fun. This year Tackle-It handed out a pile of lures and a carbon grip Rogue casting rod (as if the trophy wasnt enough).
The donations have always been fantastic but it has been the education and wisdom gained from that shop that by far outweighs the gear.
If youre fishing C-lake, check them out.

The Clear Lady was moody as usual but everyone added a healthy largemouth to their scorecard.
Some were healthier than others.

When it was flat or when we found protection fish were found.
We had multiple tactics in play but my largest was caught on a comfort bait.
The purple senko hooked wacky.

I usually enjoy our nocturnal adventure most and this year was no different.
Unfortunately not everyone enjoys catching the targeted species.
goodtimes :evil7:

The coast was a little lumpy so we stayed in the kiddie pools. There we were masters of the underlings. Still, we made the most of our windows and had a blast. Great sushi and very short pub crawl helped make it a great stop.

The tourney scorecard showed that it was still anybodys game and we were headed to Mother Mendo. We had a small early window before another strom came through and as our other days had gone we made the most.

The week ended hanging out at our favorite bar and grill where we reflected on this years tour and planned for our next adventure in the eastern sierras.
Goodtimes as usual for those the locals call Team Bridgeport. :spiderman:

Awesome stuff Terry!!!  As usual, I loved the report.

Maybe I missed it but did you divulge the winner of the trip?  Also, do you use the AOTY format for your tourny?  I ask because I'm looking at doing something similar for my annual Father's Day outing this year.

Nice looking man-cave you have there too.  I'm way envious.  I keep telling myself someday.

Loved the last photo but the wrong guy is doing the look-a-way. :smt044

Well, Terry basically covered it. Nasty wind almost every day, general crap weather and we had to fight for the few fish we got. We still managed to have a great time together anyway. I think that's the difference between kayak fishing and regular fishing, we know we're going to have a great time no matter if the fish are biting or not.

Thanks again to Ed at Tackle it. I told him I was on a quest for a crappie, he set me up with his recommended jig/bobber and I got a fish with it. Not...exactly...a crappie, but I'll take a little smallmouth anytime. At least I know it works and I have hope I may catch a freaken panfish someday. The quest continues.

In the end, The Redhead ended up with the biggest LM coming in at 22.5" (smaller than her fish last year) and the big kitty coming in at 30.5."

Oh yeah, the big winner is........................... last pic (there may have been some drinking involved or knowing spider, may be not?).
