Canyon Creek....http://www.vistaresorts.net/canyoncreek/welcome.html

I haven't made a reservation yet. Its a a mile or two down the road. Has anyone made a reservation?

I believe Canyon Creek is a membership only resort and you have to know someone who is a member to stay there. It's still worth a call, they might want the business this time of the year.

Looks like "Pleasure Cove is physically the closest; but looks like a long way through the windy roads.....

There's another parking and launch area with a wide concrete ramp if you keep driving to the left past the 2 floating ramps.
Seems that the PB's use the two closer floating ramps and no one uses the far ramp to the left.
It had a larger area that might work for awards BTW.

Thats exactly what i was thinking tony, but the only thing is that road that goes over there to that launch is a 1 lane and could be bad or maybe not if it gets crowded in there! Fill free to park and launch your yak with wheelies or your cart if you feel it will be more convient and faster!

Good news and bad news about the upcoming derby.

Bad news: there will be a bass tournament at Markley Cove that day.  I saw a flyer posted at Coyote Bait & Tackle today.

Good news: it is the Christian Bass Angler Fellowship so hopefully they'll be courteous and not run is over. :smt044

Dilbeck, thanks for the heads up! I contacted the club and hope we can work out a good plan so we aren't stepping on each other toes that morning.

We will keep everyone updated on the lining up (before going thru the gate & paying), launching and the parking.

I think the best camping option for Berryessa is the back side of the Big Island- cheap and no one to bother you  :smt044. Not sure on the status if this is ok or not but did it years ago and sure was nice! That or Lake Solano Campground , I think that is open. I camped at the one site on the north end and it was a pile of sheet. No water or clean bathrooms :smt009

I don't think so E.  First of all, they're put and take, and second, they're pretty fragile fish and unless one really knows what their doing, they'll just end up releasing fish to die.

Did that make any sense?

Cant tell ya how many hours i've spent prepping for this weekend  :smt003  But i'm finally done sorting all of my tackle, deciding every lure and dodger combination i'm gonna try, tied all the leaders, picked all the lures, prepped all the rods, reassembled my crate, respooled the downrigger with braid, charged all the batteries/vhf's.  Even prepped all of Sara's gear for her too  :smt002

I'm ready  :smt004

 I think  :smt005

To CATCH  :smt045

some  :fishing1

Cant wait to get out there!!! :fishing2 :beer3 :party
