While I see quite a few parking spots, many more than 16, I do agree that parking could be an issue.  Of course, you'll always have a few people flake and who knows how big the field is for the bass tourney.

Unfortunately, because our group isn't an organized or official get together, I'd have to imagine that it's kind of hard to ask for special permission regarding parking.

Definitely bring your wheels!

The biggest issue will be when you show up and pay before entering the gate.

Ricci and I will be out directing everyone where to launch and park, so we all can fit. So keep an eye out for us. Yes, some of us will have to double up too on the parking spaces.

I would have it at Oak Knoll. Lots of parking, no launch fee, and close to the big island. I fished yesterday for a striped kitty. The kokes were holding at 60' and I could not get down to them. Tried jigging for a bit, then went for bass.  Good luck guys, I hope they come a little closer to the surface.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

That is deep.  It's going to be challenging trying to paddle and make adjustments on the manual downrigger.  This is a fishery that I have always wanted to learn and hopefully we will see some fish caught.

I found this great article on Kokanee in case you have not read it =>  http://www.kokaneepower.org/articles/3.pdf

Is this a private facility or run by BLM? I know at Lake Sonoma the rangers will write tickets for single vehicles parked in spots for vehicles towing trailers.

One last question.....I know the Slam starts at 7am but when does the gate open up to the parking lot?

Don't quote me but  think it's private and the gates open at 6:00

I know this maybe be a little late and probably coming from right field, but remember, I am a newbie:

Will short, t-shirt and tevas be sufficient for tomorrow's paddling weather? or do I need to put on my f-Johns and other splash apparel?

You probably won't need FJ as it's supposed to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy with a 10% chance of precipitation but ultimately it depends on how comfortable you are and on how your body runs.  I typically run warm and will probably go light on the clothing but it's a game time decision.  If I do go light though, I'll stash the heavy stuff in the hull just in case.

You might burn with just shorts so bring some sunscreen.  I've got some 50 SPF pants that dry in minutes, they're great for freshwater during spring and summer months.

Here's the forecast if you want to check it out.

I have enough 'self-insulation' that I have been working on over the winter, so I run alittle on the warmer side; and any rain will help aid the cooling.

I have convertible hiking pants that I can un-zip the lower section if I get to hot.... but good idea to stash the heavy gear in the hull....

Sounds like we have the same pair of pants.

I figure the rain gear is light, doesn't take up much room, and is good insurance.
