I was thinking of picking up a second prize boat if we get enough entries, but, no, you can't enter twice!   :smt001

The second set of leadheads look like the ones Andy1976 makes. Same goes for those swimmers, Deadly Duo tackle I think.

Thanks for the ID - I think you're right.  Everyone should get lead and plastic.

Good thing I upgraded to the 78" Yakima bars, so I'll be ready to go home with two boats!

Please let me know if I'm missing something but the CDFG regs say that bottom fish opens on May 15th which is a sunday not saturday the 14th.  Is that a typo?  Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks

Yeah, that could be a problem!  I went with the best info I had, and I'm hoping that pans out.  If not, looks like we'll party Saturday evening and the tournee would be Sunday...   :smt012 :smt001 :smt001

The new 2011 regs are out, waiting one more day isnt't going to hurt anyone but its funky that they would open it on a sunday instead of a saturday... :smt013

Thanks for the heads-up, BC48!  I'd gone into this planning on Sunday the 15th, but I banked on what I thought was solid info about the opener being on the 14th...  (thanks, Sin Coast!!!   :smt013 :smt002 :smt008)

Anyway, looks like we'll have family day/salmon fishing/diving day on Saturday, then go ahead with the potluck that evening, have the tournee the following day and do a leftover's potluck/award ceremony Sunday evening.  Not exactly like I'd planned, but still sounds great.

If anyone who already signed up would like to get their money back just contact me.   :smt001

I fully appreciate that ya'll are humble enough to interpret the word of a noob as gospel. Seriously, I admire your humility.  :smt002
Snafu...or intentional misdirection? (it'll be easier to win if everybody goes home on Sunday lol)  :smt044

Jokes aside, I was right when I said the season opens May 14th (back on pg 1). But as of like yesterday, the season opens May 15th. Silly me, I ass-u-me'd they would continue the tradition of opening those seasons on Saturdays (May 14, 2011 and May 12, 2012 respectively). I still anticipate the North Central season will open May 14, but whatever...we can have the tourney any day thereafter (I vote for May 16).

Confused??? Good, that's part of my tourney-winning gameplan. And also, it's good to have some sort of theme weaved throughout the thread...confusion is a theme, right?  :smt044

"Groundfish fishery regulations questions may be directed to Jayna Schaaf-Da Silva at [email protected] or 831-649-7196"

I left a message just now with Ms. Schaaf-Da Silva, so hopefully she can clear all this up.  I'm all tweaked out on this!   :smt010 :smt003
