Sturgeon card on the left, abalone card on your right, fishing license is the short one hanging on the backside of the abalone card.

No Sturgeon report card?

Or Steelhead Card?
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I think it should be made public the name of the individual who came up with that design and the name of those who approved it.
I would almost be willing to bet somewhere along the way you would find a tie to the Packard Foundation.
Things keep getting more and more difficult for those of us who fish.
Possibly a technique to discourage some?

They are being made by the same company that makes the  RescueStreamer. Wonder if they have Color options?

That's a whole lot of paperwork.

Is that the walmart on automall in fremont?  Looks familiar.

This reminds me of PFIC where the place is not mentioned but people try to spot-burn.

damn, you are good!  I thought all Walmarts were the same, like Target.
Can you read the fishing license in the picture and tell me my address?   :smt044
Seriously, I've got a picture of Matt M. with a huge abalone, and I need a reading of the picture background so I can figure out his honeyhole.

On a related note. Lifetime vs each year? I am sure its a bit of a value (I can run the #'s to see when the break even point is) and not having to go out each year and get one. Are there other advantages I am missing? What about stamps? do you need to get them separate?

I paid 490 bucks for a lifetime license back in 2001. Pays for itself after like 12 years. That means I'll be fishing for FREE for the rest of my life beginning at age 33!!
Seems like a good deal to me.

It costs a lot more now. I think the price break is @ age 40 and 62.

Just basic license.  This link will provide all the info you need.

I've been trying to talk the wife into a lifetime license for awhile, but up until this year, I've always received my license as a gift.  Now that we're having to make the purchase, I'm ramping up my efforts.

FWIW, I think FishMaster1 started a thread about this a year or so ago.

My bad, it was Mickfish that started it and the thread was jacked into a lifetime license discussion. Here it is.

And Andy started a thread last month about 2011 licenses that was semi-jacked into a lifetime license discussion.  The thread.
