Thanks, fellas. We'll try and do you guys proud. If nothing else, I'm hoping to come up big in the raffle!  :smt007

One of the locals is kind enough to let me shadow him on Friday to get a lay of the land. It's gonna be awesome.

Plan on going next year, fellas. I'm hoping to make it an anual affair with my fam.

The tournament yesterday was a huge success even with some very tough fishing, we only weighed in 6 fish. We had 151 people enter the event. Thanks sponsors, everyone that entered and all our volunteers for your help. I will have to count things up but I am sure we will be makeing a nice contribution to our friend Joel and to the American Cancer Society. Mark your calanders for the same weekend next year.
I will get a full report and photos up soon but today I think I will just sit and watch football with a smattering of baseball. It was a looooong day yesterday for everyone and again thank you all for supporting our event.

Update
Preliminary numbers look like we will be making an 11K dontaion to our charitities. Joel of course is getting a percentage of this. Once the numbers are finalized I will tell you what the actual contribution will be.
 Thanks again everyone.

Ha! That is an understatement. I didn't feel like staying another night in that campground, so I packed all my stuff up, took a shower, jammed home at 6:00PM, got home to Northern Santa Rosa at 1:45AM, went to sleep at 3:00AM, and got woken up by my little man at 7:00AM!

Can't wait to do it next year!

The campground was decent, but it was loud! It was basically like pulling up next to an elementary school playground during lunch break and trying to go to sleep in your car.

WOW, I would not have been able to make that drive. I was wrecked by the end of the day and I didn't even fish. Wish I had more time to meet and talk with everyone that came to the tourny.
Thanks for making the drive to join us. Hope you had a good time.

WTG Dustin on the 25# YT on Friday!!! Unfortunately Dustin and I got skunked on Saturday as did over 100 other anglers. :-( Thanks Jim for hosting a great event. Really had a good time although the furbags had it out for me. Haven't fished La Jolla for awhile and it was good to be back.
