Hey Guys the longest running kayak fishing tournament in the nation is scheduled for September 11 2010. The Steve Moyer Memorial kayak fishing tournament is for the American Cancer Society but also has a long history of giving back to the kayak fishing community with donations each year to kayak anglers in need. We will continue that tradition by giving a portion of our proceeds for this years tournament to Mooch to help him with his fight. I will have the entry forms and info up on our site soon, would love to have some of you guys come down for the event, but we understand it is a long haul for you guys. OF course the more people that enter the more we can help.
I will keep you all posted on how it is going.

9.5 hours? Hell, I made it down there from Santa Rosa in 8.5.

Craig, you serious about going? I've always wanted to go and I could probably swing it this year. I'd just have to bring the fam.

I really want to do this. If the driving part bothers some, I just look back to all the crazy shit I got away with in my 20s' which would pale driving to La Jolla for this event.

Barring med appointments, I'd love to paddle out and join the cause and honor a fellow kayak fisherman. Jim, how about a brief introduction to the man most of us have never had the pleasure of knowing?. But I do know his son is a top shelf socal kayak fisherman... I look forward to meeting him as well!
