Man, great post! Music gets me through the day and is the only thing that makes commuting tolerable.

Here's a few that I am into.

Dave Rawlings Machine
Gillian Welch
Townes Van Zandt
Mother Hips (local and awesome live)
Old Crow Medicine Show
Todd Snider
John Prine
Flying Burrito Brothers
Kasey Chambers
Ryan Bingham

Check out Dave Rawlings. He could be one of the best guitar players out there right now. IMHO.

Jazz, since it's broadcast radio to get the mind off everyday routine thing but when I get a chance classical is good too.

Newage is also up there with classical.

BHS is a bit on the Thrash Metal side for me......but that vid was nice.

Wht.Stripe rocks, but i just cant see me headbanging to a chick on drums :smt003

...........but i can nod my head to this old salsa music I was exposed to in my teens(hanging with the wrong crowd).......the native sounds of the Congas Timbales and Bongos, combined with Bass and Piano, throw in a horn section and opps! i almost forgot!
WE NEED MORE COWBELL!!!!!!

Fania was a record label...they put the best of the best together and called it TheFaniaAll-Stars and they were from the Bronx NewYork.American born PuertoRicans and a few good ol' white guys (that got caught up hanging with the wrong crowd)

there were many orquestras back then, i'll throw a few more into the mix(even if you don't understand it) niether do i, i just listen to the music.

HectorLavoe and WillieColon dominated!!!!  (until that heroin got Hector)

Sonora Poncena........it will put you in an island, covered in green, latin girls surrounding you, just close your eyes&you'll see.

not trash i said THRASH as in, "it was a Thrashing, repetative beat"

that second one was way a different style than the first song....but i need more bass and swear words.
