Scott-

Thanks for the heads-up on my yak. I took it out this past sunday and it was dry as a bone after 4hours of paddling. I didn't flip it over to check the top though, so I really appreciate that info. I plan to take my safety class (at lake Natoma) on 4/25/10 so I should be ready for the trip! Also, thanks for the info on the camp grounds.

You know it, Dude!  Sunday morning we may have to head out to one of my rare, Lost Coast abalone locations...  We may see some slugs pulled (or just video'd)   :smt003

I wish I could make it to MBK, but I live is Sac and my schedule is packed on the weekends. I hope this class will be informative, but I'll let everyone know.

That would be great. Let me see if I can come on the 14th. The class at Lake Natoma is a beginning sea kayaking class. Should I still take it? or would I be better off just comming and taking a lesson or two with you guys. Thanks for the offer. It's much appreciated.  :smt001

Just curious,
I still see a lot of names that are in the not paid column :smt010.
This is the premier event of the year and I for one would sure hate to miss it.
If you haven't yet sent a check to Eric, you should make it a point to get-er done :smt006. These events take a lot of work to get organized and I for one would like to see the largest turnout of the year (I need to put more faces to screen names). On the other hand if you are just afraid to fish against me than I can understand that :smt005 and it would probably be best to just show up as spectators  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

You should definitely take the class.  What we do at the Cove will just be verifying that you're ready, not starting you from scratch.  You'll be expected to have gear to dress for submersion and I will want you to paddle out from the launch, fall off your boat, get back on, and show that you understand issues such as breakers, reef, sets, sudden wind, dehydration, sun exposure...etc.  The issues of knowing the reef and where sets can come in when the water had been calm before are very important.  No one should be getting in the water without that info.

You don't know jack, Dude!  (JK!!)   :smt002

Truth be told, I'd like to paddle up here for a dive...

It's 3 miles north of Ab Pt.  The vis will likely suck, but someone's gonna pull an oldgrowth.   :smt007

The T-shirt alone would worth that $25.  You can't get this special designed T-shirt anywhere else in the world!  :smt003

You can walk down the stairs by the light house right across the camp ground and get your Abs there!  How about that for convenience?  :smt003
