Ill bring my canoe and yak. The canoe holds 1,000 lbs. of crap. Ill paddle the canoe and tow the yak when full and we can just take turns with the canoe-loads from the dam.

Disclaimer:  If anyone else has a better idea and wants to put something together, please feel free.  Mooch picked the date, and it seems Del Valle is booked thru March...  so...  This is what I propose:

Where:  Lake Sonoma
When:  January 15-17, 22-24th(Fri-Sun)

Details:  The Broken Bridge group camp holds 50 and is a 2-mile paddle from the launch.  It's only $45 a night.  If we have fewer people and/or noone wants to paddle two miles into camp, there are many other campgrounds that are closer, and we should have the lake to ourselves anyway.

I know it'll be cold at night, and it's not as centrally located as DV, but we would be cold at DV, too, and consider Sonoma has NO parking fees or inspection, plus the fact that we'll have lots more privacy, it seems like a solid choice.

So if we get 10 or more confirmations I'll make the reservation.........ok?

I'm down with this,. Not having to deal with DV and all their stupid fees is awesome. Momore go towards the camp, beer, food & having a kickass time with the homies.

Already requested those days off of work. Planning on heading there early Friday.

I think the only fees, (apart from the site) are for lauching.  $4, or $6, I can't remember but it's a bargain, imo.

Well, it looks like I'll not be making this trip.  A job opportunity has come up and I unless something else comes up here locally, I'm off to Oregon, come first week in Jan.  :smt009 Not the best situation, work wise but it is work and $$ coming in.  Of all the places I've applied to and interviewed at, NO one has called or emailed me back.  Very dis concerning to me. Can't wait any longer.

Totally understandable!  Good luck with the new job and looking forward to your fishing posts from OR.

I think they spawn the fish on thursday other than that I'll same you the time. http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,16570.0.html

Although the little stream section is pretty cool I've seen fish in there over 20lbs.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.
