Fished Santa Cruz with Adam, Lino, Bill, SCAllen, PolePole, Sharky, Brian, and few locals.  Catching sardines for bait was easy, but everything else was a challenge

PolePole caught a 24" butt then Adam followed up with 26 incher.  Not long after that, Adam hooks into and lands and releases a rare catch.  I'll let Adam tell his story.

Check out the action....

Someone else hooked up a thresher too.  Who was that?

I think I had a thresher bite as well, got back half a dine with a perfectly sliced rounded bite, not your typical raked and mangled bait.

Good to see the boys on the water, especially Papa Bill.

Guess I should've fought the hangover & fished Sunday. Conditions in there were certainly sweet Saturday afternoon right there at the mile buoy.
WTG guys!
That is one cute little thresher Adam!

Do sardines count? :smt003

I believe it was Sharky's friend Brian.  He said it was a little bigger than Adam's but it broke him off.

Yes sardines count. Just ask kirk the fish counter at Pacifica Pier on Sunday. Bucketloads coming over. Smoked sardines is all I can think about after jigging some up at Linda Mar last week. Where are you guys fishing next Sunday? I think I need to be there and hopefully some of Adams juju will rub off on me. Muir Beach?
