Another question for ChuckE,

Will it be okay to fish with my outriggers?  Just want to make sure I don't get DQ'd for getting the biggest sardine.  If it's not ok I'll keep it at home.

Rey

Outriggers are okay.  No motors allowed.

Is it just me, or does it look like we are gonna have some nice big swell to deal with?

Yup I think sardine or striped bass (if you get lucky) will take it! Dramamine is a must!

With swells this big, it could be a repeat of Davenport II. Sardines or perch from the harbor could be taking home prizes.

Are 5ft swells considered big?

Good knowledge, Chuck. Thanks for posting that info.
And Montana...that is too funny! I'm gonna steal that one: No muff too tuff, we dive at five!

Good luck everybody!

Depends, like Chuck said, you really got to keep an eye on the shallow reefs as you will get sneaker waves on those.

5ft is actually pretty good.  That's a nice down grade from earlier this week.  Since much of HMB is somewhat protected it should look even less.

Too really find the big ones, it is best to just fish off the dock with a worm and bobber. :smt044

Agreed, when I last looked at the buoy info, it was pushing 9ft.

I think I might try fishing off the dock tonight since I need to figure out how to catch these sardines or maybe some live bait. Not sure if we can but will find out soon enough. I'm heading down after work to check it out.
