It looks like 5ZQU122 to me.  Hit and Run (20002 VC) without injuries it makes it a Misdemeanour.  With injuries (20001 VC) makes it a Felony.  The local PD will be able to run a few variations to confirm a match.  The picture actually isn't that bad.  Matt

Your pictures will be great in court!  You can almost make the guys face out in the left side mirror.  Also keep his face fresh in your mind.  They may ask you to do a photo lineup to further establish the driver's identity.  They simply have to tye up all the loop holes that defense attorneys create.

We got 5ZQU122. That came back as the Cadillac

We tried 5ZQO122 and that came back as not a registered plate, unprinted, never used.

It looks like "5ZQJ" to me, not "U." The vertical line that looks like the left hand part of the "U" is too close to the "Q" to be part of the following letter on a license plate. It's probably just a dirt stain that ran down because of damp weather.

In fact, now that I look again, the line that would serve as the left hand side of a "U" runs all the way up to the word, "California," printed on the plate. That would not be the case if it were actually part of the letter.

raideator leaks out of the top seal on the radeator. only problem with running is the water leaking if you can bring me a ratator wen you buy it its so small and easy i can do it for you befor you leave my driveway and it should take maby 30 mins at the varry most. if i had the mony i would get the radiator right now so the cars price got droped from 1800 to 800.. good luck ime reciving e-mails back to back if the add is up i have the car..

the radeator started leaking so she got a new car. registration only needed the light inspection dun to be compleat.
people please dont try to haggle me car is as is 800 ive already droped from 1500 ariginal price for this car was 1800 and if i fix the radiator witch is only 2 hoses and 2 clamps the price is going back up un less like i said u bring the part wen u buy it.. so no haggling im frustrated with it already so only serious buyers contackt

Thank you. I called the voicemail of the officer that took my report and left her a voicemail, the only sucky thing is she said today was her friday and she wont be back until Tuesday. Maybe I will call the PD and give them my case number and give them the new info.

Yep thats it. I cross referenced the email with myspace and the pictures on the myspace are not the same guy, and not the same ethnicity, but that doesn't matter. I will email the person and ask them if they still have it. I bet he just bought the car from this guy off craigslist and never put it in his name.

You should let the police approach him, Jeff. If he recognizes you, he will ditch the car for sure. Or you could have someone else approach, acting like abuyer, and take pictures.
